The ever-cool 1980’s-South-Bronx-originating band ESG played their final show last night at Le Poisson Rouge in Greenwich Village. If you haven’t heard of them, you’ve definitely heard them, whether sampled or as an influence on bands across all genres that came after - Can you hear a little LCD Soundsystem in the beat of this clip?
This is them performing “Moody” in the seminal 1989 Nicholas Cage Vampire Flick aptly titled: “Vampire’s Kiss.”
